Settlement Tanks
Home » Settlement Tanks
Simple, effective water and waste separation
How they work
Water enters the tank and flows through a series of chambers, designed to slow velocity and encourage solids to settle by the force of gravity. The clarified water then exits through a controlled outlet, whilst the sludge, contaminants and solids collect at the base of the tank, ready for removal.
ByWater’s settlement tanks are engineered to maximise retention time and efficiency, giving you cleaner discharge water and reduced maintenance across your entire system.
Key features:
- Heavy-duty steel or reinforced plastic construction
- Modular or custom-built designs for any flow rate
- Integrated baffles and weirs for optimal separation
- Easy sludge removal via drain valves or extraction points
- Compatible with oil separators, filters and treatment systems
- Optional flow control and level monitoring systems
Each tank is built to site-specific requirements, ensuring performance, durability and compliance with environmental standards.
Applications
- Construction and demolition sites
- Wash bays, wheel washes and dewatering systems
- Industrial and commercial wastewater plants
- Agricultural and turf management operations
- Environmental containment and recycling systems
Built for efficiency and sustainability
Effective settlement is paramount to water recycling. Removing solids from your water early in the process, reduces wear on pumps, filter and downstream equipment, extending your system’s life and supporting its efficiency potential.
Cleaner discharge water means lower disposal costs and better environmental outcomes.
