Rainwater is readily available and is, of course, free of charge. Most rainfall goes onto our roofs and hard standing areas and is then directed into the storm drainage system.
There is great potential for savings to be made by tapping into this free supply. By harvesting rainwater, not only is it possible to make great cost savings but there is also a lessening of the load on the mains water supply, assisting in the minimising of water shortages and reducing the burden on an already overloaded drainage system.
By utilising rainwater where possible, mains water consumption is significantly reduced. This will in turn minimise water bills. Depending on the volumes required, large saving can be made on both water costs and effluent charges.
With water companies under increasing pressure to provide high quality water and to cope with ever increasing demand, why waste precious and costly drinking water in processes that don't require drinking quality water when you could be using a free and readily available alternative?
ByWater Services offer rainwater harvesting systems sized to suit individual requirements - systems include collection tanks, filtration, pumps and fully automated controls.
